Job Description



The VP of Operations - Great Civil & Erosion Contractor - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Provide executive oversight of all operational functions across multiple crews
  • Lead and mentor field leadership, foremen, and operations managers
  • Drive consistency in production, quality control, safety, and scheduling
  • Partner with ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and budgeting
  • Improve operational systems, workflows, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with estimating and project teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company at a leadership level

The Successful Applicant

  • The VP of Operations - Great Civil & Erosion Contractor - Charlotte will have:
  • NC DOT experience is a must have
  • Proven senior operations leadership experience in construction or site development
  • Strong background in erosion control, seeding, grading, or related trades
  • Experience managing multiple crews and large geographic territories
  • Demonstrated ability to scale operations and improve efficiency
  • Financial and business acumen, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, collaborative approach
