My client is a greater Boston based semiconductor manufacturing company. Their technologies are actively providing solutions to the global chip shortage. They have 1,000+ employees hiring 200 employees in the last year alone. They are global and seeking a Vice President of Sales - Europe & North America

Job Description

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Organizational Development and Structure Optimization:
    1. Creating the foundation of an effective sales organization to support company growth objectives
    2. Define and implement right compensation program to support Company growth objectives and sales team needs
  2. Global Teams and Account Strategy Development:
    1. Implement process for creating, developing and managing high quality customer partnerships that lead to market share gains.
      1. Understand customers' business objectives - buying criteria
      2. Understand why customer buys from competition - barriers
      3. Developing better strategies to overcome sales barriers
      4. Effective mapping of customer organizations (detractor, advocate and neutral) to improve senior management relationships.
      5. Develop customer partnerships focused on customer satisfaction by providing cost effective service and support necessary for customer to achieve their goals and objectives.
    2. Defines the short term and long-term account plans with development activities.
    3. Driving awareness of customer satisfaction throughout the company
  3. Forecasting to Support Quarterly/Annual and Strategic Planning:

a) Drive forecasting for annual strategic planning process for 3-year business outlook

b) Develop the profit plan bottoms-up forecast

c) Evaluate, communicate, and implement account plans to achieve market share objectives

4. People Management

a.) Hire and scale a high performing business unit

b.) Provide leadership, coaching and managerial processes that utilize Companyvalues, attributes and behaviors to drive and develop optimal performance of the team and each individual team member

The Successful Applicant

You Have:

  • 15+ years of executive sales leadership experience
  • 10+ years of people management experience and sales leadership desired
  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry (more is a huge plus)
  • Bachelors degree is a must and a masters degree is desired in a relevant industry
  • Ability to commute or relocate North of Boston MA
  • Ability to travel 50%+, including on short notice
  • Strong account alignment, qualification, closing and negotiation skills
  • Passionate executive leader with proven track record as a change agent, transforming teams by inspiring, motivating, and developing talent to drive positive results and business outcomes
  • Ability to understand, articulate and document complex value propositions
  • Ability to generate, document and drive account strategies, execution plans, alignment plans,
  • Strong influencer with a proven ability to develop working relationships in a matrixed, global environment and establishing a high level of credibility across functional lines of business
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical execution and time management
  • Demonstration of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, articulately communicating in a poised manner to align with customer executive management
  • Cultural understanding and deep experience engaging global customers
  • Experience managing complex application solutions and field applications engineering
  • Profitability oriented, with good financial acumen
  • Strong advocate and demonstrated expertise and success in the analysis, design, and automation of sales processes
