Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations for a ground-up wood-frame multifamily project
  • Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Maintain the project schedule and ensure milestones are met
  • Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and local regulations
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure timely close-out of deficiencies
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Manager regarding progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and site documentation
  • Ensure jobsite cleanliness, organization, and professionalism at all times

The Successful Applicant

A successful Multifamily Superintendent should have:

  • 7-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up, wood-frame multifamily projects
  • Proven experience delivering mid- to large-scale apartment developments
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and quality standards
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and drive performance in the field
  • Familiarity with New Jersey building codes and inspection processes is a plus
