My decision to join PageGroup was based off a few things. I believed that my background in sales and undergraduate degree in Business Management/HR was a great fit, and MPI married my experiences together. I had 3 offers from other firms. Michael Page stood out with their competitive compensation structure, straight forward promotion targets, and top of the line training programs.
What skills from your background have helped you succeed at PageGroup ?
At first glance, most people would see my Sales background and call it a day. This was very helpful in understanding prospecting and getting on the phone/communication. However, I became the President of my Fraternity in college – this has helped me tremendously. It gave me an opportunity to manage a team, recruit new members, be social, and work with senior staff in our National office on many initiatives – not to mention thinking quickly on my feet. I have had many clients and candidates that I am able to connect with from this. I recommend this career to anyone who enjoyed Greek life and actively contributed.
Give an example of an understated element of PageGroup that makes working here so great.
A key understated element is simply the synergy of the company. Everyone is trying to accomplish the same goals in their designated discipline. We often have a lot of crossover with different teams and refer business out across the group. Ultimately, everyone is trying to provide the best service to our clients and work with each other to deliver the top talent.
Have you been on any PageGroup excursions? If so, which was the most memorable?
The Montauk High Flyers in 2016 was fantastic. It was close enough to the city that I could have flexible travel arrangements and extravagant enough that I wouldn’t be able to afford it on my own. I won’t share too many details, but work smart and you could be on your way next quarter!
