Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate sitework activities including earthwork, grading, excavation, and paving operations
  • Oversee installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and constructability
  • Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and survey teams to maintain project alignment
  • Track project schedule, quantities, and productivity to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
  • Identify and resolve field issues, design conflicts, and unforeseen site conditions
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local codes
  • Prepare RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and progress reports
  • Coordinate inspections and testing for utility systems and site infrastructure
  • Manage documentation including daily reports, as-builts, and project records

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong understanding of sitework construction methods including earthwork, grading, excavation, and paving operations
  • Working knowledge of underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm drainage) and associated standards
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
  • Proficient in coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, surveyors, and project stakeholders
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track quantities, schedules, and project costs
  • Effective problem-solver capable of addressing field challenges, design conflicts, and changing site conditions
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and local construction codes
  • Skilled in construction documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports
  • Strong communication skills to relay technical information clearly between office and field teams
  • Proficiency with industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, project management tools)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt quickly on-site, and contribute to overall project success
