Job Description

  • Serve as the primary supply chain and procurement contact for assigned customer programs, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, lead time, and supply risk.
  • Manage the full purchase order life cycle, ensuring orders are placed accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, and material availability to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, delays, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers and components to support continuity of supply.
  • Drive procurement activities including expediting, supplier follow-up, and delivery management.
  • Optimize inventory levels and stocking strategies to improve working capital and inventory performance.
  • Analyze forecast changes, backlog movement, and demand fluctuations to support business planning.
  • Provide regular program updates, performance reporting, and action plans to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, program management, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful execution of customer requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within manufacturing, electronics, or other high-volume operational environments.
  • Strong experience managing material procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory planning.
  • Experience supporting production schedules through backlog management and material expediting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify risks and influence stakeholders to drive solutions.
  • Electronic component sourcing experience preferred.
