Job Description

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day production activities on second shift to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with operational and workplace safety standards.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Review production schedules and allocate resources to meet operational objectives efficiently.
  • Identify, develop, and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor, train, and develop production employees to build a strong and engaged workforce.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and address employee relations matters when required.
  • Support succession planning and strengthen team capability through employee development.
  • Communicate company objectives, initiatives, and policies effectively across the shift.
  • Partner with quality teams to investigate issues and maintain product conformity.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, equipment utilization, and production methods.
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings focused on performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience coaching, motivating, and developing employees.
  • Ability to manage change, overcome operational challenges, and deliver results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software.
  • Positive, team-focused leadership style with a high level of accountability and ownership.
