Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsLead a critical accounting function in a growth environmentDrive process improvement and team developmentAbout Our ClientThis client is a growing consumer products company in the beauty and personal care space.Job DescriptionLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, supporting analyses, and management reporting.Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.Manage accounting for inventory, reserves, accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, intercompany transactions, and other complex accounting areas within an inventory-driven business environment.Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, and other stakeholders to address inventory-related matters, costing issues, operational variances, and process improvements.Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness.Lead external audit activities, including audit preparation, documentation, information requests, and issue resolution, while supporting tax, treasury, insurance, and other compliance-related requirements.Oversee key accounting operations and working capital processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash activity, and related reporting and controls.Monitor financial results and balance sheet activity, identify trends and variances, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to improve performance and accuracy.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team by establishing clear expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting ongoing professional growth.Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, ERP initiatives, and special projects aimed at increasing efficiency, scalability, visibility, and overall financial control across the organization.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
