Reporting directly to the Controller with a dotted-line relationship to the President, this role will serve as a strategic business partner to one of the company's business units. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax compliance, and internal controls. This individual will work closely with leadership to provide financial insights, improve processes, support operational decision-making, and help drive overall business performance.Job DescriptionAccounting Manager Responsibilities:Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general accounting activities for a designated business unit.Prepare and analyze financial results, budgets, forecasts, and key performance metrics to support leadership decision-making.Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive business performance.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and company policies.Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health while helping identify risks and opportunities.Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives across the business.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and increase operational efficiency.Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team while fostering a continuous improvement mindset.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
