Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and production of high-reliability electromechanical products used in aerospace and defense applications. This role will work cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Develop products through the full engineering lifecycle, from concept through production.
  • Create detailed drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to support DFM/DFA initiatives.
  • Support qualification testing, validation, and design verification.
  • Drive continuous improvement and resolve production-related engineering issue

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo with strong GD&T knowledge.
  • Experience designing electromechanical assemblies, machined components, and precision mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, DFMEA, FEA, and product validation testing.
  • U.S. Person status required.
