Job Description

  • Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and certify aviation life support equipment in accordance with military specifications and technical manuals.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on survival gear, including helmets, oxygen systems, flotation devices, survival vests, harnesses, parachutes, and chemical defense equipment.
  • Conduct operational checks and troubleshooting of life support equipment and associated components.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable military regulations, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection documentation, and inventory reports.
  • Support configuration management and equipment accountability processes.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and flight operations personnel to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and fielding of new systems.
  • Perform incoming inspections and acceptance testing of new or repaired equipment.
  • Support audits, program reviews, and military customer inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and operational effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), military aviation equipment, or related aerospace systems.
  • Experience interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with military maintenance practices, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
