Job Description

Reporting to a Senior Portfolio Manager or Chief Investment Officer, the Asset Manager - Equities will play a key role in managing equity investments and supporting the ongoing growth of the investment platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and monitor discretionary equity portfolios across a range of sectors and market capitalisations.
  • Conduct fundamental investment research, financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on listed companies.
  • Develop investment recommendations and present findings to investment committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and asset allocation positioning.
  • Engage with company management teams, brokers, research providers, and industry participants to identify investment opportunities.
  • Prepare client reporting materials, market commentary, and portfolio reviews.
  • Support business development initiatives by participating in client meetings and assisting with investment presentations.

The Successful Applicant

For the Asset Manager - Equities we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in equity research, portfolio management, asset management, or investment analysis.
  • Progress towards, or completion of, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of public equity markets, portfolio construction, and investment risk management.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Experience using investment research tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate investment views clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong commercial mindset and passion for investing.
