As a result of that growth, they're looking to add an Assistant Controller to the team.This person will serve as the VP of Finance's right-hand person and will take ownership of a significant portion of the company's day-to-day accounting operations. They're looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and eager to take on additional responsibility as the organization continues to growJob DescriptionAssistant Controller Responsibilites:Manage the monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reportingOversee project accounting, including job costing, WIP, billing, and revenue recognitionPartner with project and operations teams to review job cost activity, analyze project financial performance, identify potential risks, and ensure accurate reporting throughout the life of each projectSupport payroll, including union payroll and related reportingAssist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management, while monitoring A/R, aging balances, collections, and overall cash positionSupport year-end close activities, tax preparation, financial statement reviews, and coordination with external accounting partners and advisorsMaintain internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processesWork closely with the VP of Finance and broader leadership team on ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as the company continues to growMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
