Job Description

As the Assistant Controller, you will report into the senior finance leadership team and play a critical role partnering with operations to enhance project performance and financial control.

  • Partner closely with project teams to deliver accurate project-level financial reporting
  • Manage job cost tracking, work-in-progress reporting, and revenue recognition
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis across live projects
  • Prepare and maintain schedules of contracts, billings, and accruals
  • Lead cost and revenue review processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support internal and external audit processes, including interaction with third-party auditors
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and systems

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Controller role, we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Must have 2-4 years of audit experience within a Big 4, Top 10, or leading regional firm
  • Prior exposure to construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting and percentage of completion methods
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage operational stakeholders
  • Experience with construction ERP systems (e.g. Vista, Procore, or similar) is advantageous
  • CPA qualification or progression towards certification is a plus
  • Ambition to progress into Controller and beyond within a structured succession plan
