Job Description

  • Support the delivery of multiple construction projects simultaneously, primarily valued under $10M.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall execution.
  • Manage renovation, tenant improvement, healthcare, retail, occupied-space, and emergency response projects.
  • Respond quickly to client requests and help maintain strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate pricing exercises, change orders, and project cost tracking.
  • Prepare and update project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, estimators, and project stakeholders.
  • Support project documentation, reporting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Take on increasing client-facing responsibilities and develop project leadership skills.
  • Work across estimating, operations, and project management functions to support successful project delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Experience in construction project management, project engineering, or assistant project management.
  • Demonstrated experience working on fast-paced construction projects valued under $10M.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and respond to changing project needs.
  • Experience with renovations, tenant improvements, commercial, healthcare, retail, or similar project types is preferred.
  • Motivated to develop into a Project Manager role within the next 1-2 years.
  • Construction management, engineering, or related industry background preferred.
