Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Westchester County, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of custom home construction
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Supporting field teams and Superintendents with project coordination
  • Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
  • Participating in client and project team meetings
  • Monitoring project progress and assisting with issue resolution
  • Supporting project closeout and homeowner turnover activities

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
  • Experience with custom homes, luxury residential, residential, or commercial construction projects
  • Understanding of construction documentation and project controls
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
  • Former athletic experience is a plus due to the teamwork, discipline, competitiveness, and leadership qualities that translate well into construction management, but is not required
