We're seeking an Assistant Safety Manager / Site Safety Supervisor to serve as the field-facing safety representative across multiple active construction projects throughout Maryland. This role partners closely with operations teams to coach, support, and strengthen jobsite safety through inspections, training, audits, and proactive engagement with field personnel.

Job Description

  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits across multiple active projects.
  • Partner with project teams to identify hazards and implement practical safety solutions.
  • Provide hands-on safety coaching and guidance to field personnel, subcontractors, and supervisors.
  • Support and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Assist with incident investigations, corrective action implementation, and safety documentation.
  • Maintain accurate reports, inspection records, and compliance tracking documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for project teams on safety best practices and risk management.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to continuously improve safety performance and culture.
  • Report directly to the Safety Director and support company-wide safety initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous construction safety experience in a field-based environment.
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.
  • OSHA Trainer certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Flagger certification required.
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certification required.
  • Telehandler certification required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to build relationships with field teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Comfortable traveling between jobsites throughout Maryland.
