Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Assisting the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Supporting enforcement of site safety protocols and participating in daily safety walks and inspections.
  • Coordinating site logistics, material deliveries, equipment, and workforce activities.
  • Assisting with subcontractor meetings, daily huddles, and monitoring project schedule progress.
  • Helping maintain site setup, security, organization, and overall jobsite cleanliness.
  • Supporting project documentation including daily reports, inspections, permits, RFIs, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
  • Communicating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project team members to ensure project alignment.
  • Assisting with quality control inspections and verifying work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and company standards.
  • Supporting field staff and promoting a collaborative, safety-focused jobsite culture.

The Successful Applicant

The right Assistant Superintendent has the following qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work at various project sites nationwide
  • 0-5+ years as a Superintendent with a GC
  • Open to any project types, clean rooms NOT a must have
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Builders License (any state), Bachelors degree, Trade License - is a plus
  • Software: MS Suite, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 experience, Procore
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction practices
  • Willing to travel frequently and work nights/weekends as needed
