Job Description

  • Support the Superintendent in managing day‑to‑day on‑site construction activities.
  • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Assist with site planning, logistics, and coordination of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company and OSHA standards.
  • Help manage project documentation, including daily reports, photos, delivery logs, and RFIs.
  • Conduct regular site walks to track progress and identify potential issues early.
  • Support quality control efforts to ensure work meets project plans and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Assist with scheduling, inspections, and punch list closeout activities.
  • Provide leadership on the jobsite by modeling professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5+ years of field experience with a GC, subcontractor, or in a carpentry/field-engineering capacity.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and safety best practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with subcontractors, clients, and project teams.
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing daily logs, documentation, and site coordination.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Team-first attitude with the humility to learn and the confidence to take initiative.
  • Interest in long-term growth into a full Superintendent role.
  • Reliability and professionalism, especially in representing the company on active job sites.
  • A desire to build locally and contribute to high-quality projects across the Cape & Islands.
