Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent - Large-Scale Construction - NoVA will:

  • Assist in the day-to-day execution of large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain schedule and quality standards.
  • Support site logistics, safety compliance, and daily construction activities.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify solutions to field challenges.
  • Partner with project leadership to ensure milestones, budgets, and client expectations are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and site records.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate updates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help drive quality control initiatives and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Superintendent - Large-Scale Construction - NoVA will have:

  • 4+ years of experience working for a General Contractor.
  • Experience supporting projects valued at $60M+.
  • Background in multifamily, student housing, mixed-use, hospitality, life science, or similar commercial construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, and site coordination.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to commute to and work on project sites throughout Northern Virginia.
