Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily - Arlington, VA will be responsible for:

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily management of multifamily construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and trade partners to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to project specifications.
  • Monitor project schedules and support overall site production goals.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to maintain construction standards and workmanship.
  • Help enforce site safety programs and company policies.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates with project leadership.
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings and assist with resolving field issues.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure proper execution of work.
  • Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and consultants to support successful project delivery.
  • Assist with project closeout activities and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily - Arlington, VA should have:

  • 1+ years of construction experience, ideally within multifamily, residential, commercial, wood-frame, concrete, or steel construction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a Superintendent-level position.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors or field operations is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality standards.
