Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations on a major commercial construction project
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
  • Monitor construction quality and enforce project standards
  • Support project scheduling, logistics planning, and site coordination activities
  • Assist with concrete and structural steel construction activities
  • Conduct site walks, safety inspections, and progress tracking
  • Coordinate with project management teams, design professionals, and trade partners
  • Maintain project documentation and contribute to successful project delivery

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 3-7+ years of Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or field construction experience with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Hands-on experience with concrete and structural steel construction is required
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Motivated to develop into a Superintendent-level leadership role
