Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent and Project Team in managing day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

  • Assist with coordination of subcontractors and daily site activities
  • Support planning and execution of project schedules and milestones
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed to specifications
  • Promote and enforce site safety procedures and compliance standards
  • Participate in project meetings and progress reporting
  • Track site logistics, deliveries and workforce coordination
  • Help drive project completion through proactive problem-solving and communication
  • Long-term travel primarily throughout Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Superintendent we are seeking:

  • Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
  • Experience with a reputable general contractor through full-time roles or strong internships
  • Demonstrated career progression and stable employment history
  • Exposure to commercial construction projects, ideally $50 million+ in value
  • Experience within multifamily, senior living, student housing or similar large-scale projects is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast paced project environment
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast as project needs require
