Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing daily jobsite operations.
  • The Assistant Superintendent will coordinate and oversee Building and Construction subcontractor activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays.
  • Support site logistics, planning, and material deliveries.
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite records, reports, and documentation.
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings and project coordination sessions.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Foster a positive and productive jobsite culture.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of construction field experience on commercial projects.
  • Understanding of construction schedules, sequencing, and field coordination.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and jobsite best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
