A growing commercial construction and development firm is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on a variety of construction projects. This individual will work closely with the Project Superintendent to help coordinate daily activities, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality workmanship from project start through completion.

Job Description

  • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities.
  • Assist in managing subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and report updates to the construction team.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations on-site.
  • Support the scheduling and planning of construction milestones.
  • Inspect work for adherence to specifications and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to address any on-site challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and progress.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 2+ years of construction field experience preferred.
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or multifamily construction projects is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and construction best practices.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, and field technology tools is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
