Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with the day-to-day management and coordination of multifamily construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain productivity and meet project schedules.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of site-specific health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling, sequencing trades, material deliveries, and coordinating upcoming site activities.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, site documentation, and inspection records.
  • Identify construction challenges and work collaboratively with project management and field teams to resolve issues.
  • Help manage punch lists, inspections, and project closeout activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or in a similar construction role.
  • Multifamily construction experience is required, ideally involving ground-up residential developments.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and building processes.
  • Understanding of subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and construction sequencing.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, project managers, and field leadership.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn, develop, and progress within construction management.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and standard reporting tools is advantageous.
