The Associate Director - Indirect Procurement (Americas) will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage supplier relationships to optimize procurement processes in North America and define best practices for the South America region. Oversee $200MM in annual spend across all Indirect Procurement categories with full P&L ownership.

This opportunity is with a Private Equity backed Beauty Brand and will be a hybrid position out of the office in Manhattan (NYC).

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for indirect procurement categories.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement goals and compliance standards with business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
  • Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Manage budgets and provide regular reporting on procurement metrics and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, team of 6 direct reports, and suppliers.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of experience in procurement & strategic sourcing with at least 3+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, MBA a PLUS.
  • Track record of spearheading strategic initiatives across a team while simultaneously managing a dedicated category (Marketing, HR, etc. a PLUS).
  • Experience working in a dynamic, international organization Structure. Ideal candidate has played a role in developing a procurement strategy in redesigned region.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Financial acumen across P&L ownership, cost savings execution and cash flow monitoring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage/influence stakeholder relationships to achieve business goals.

  • Competitive salary range: $155,500 - $192,500 USD annually.
