Job Description

The Associate of Investments will report to the Director of Investments and support the full investment lifecycle across a diverse real estate portfolio. This role combines acquisition underwriting with active asset management responsibilities, offering excellent exposure to both transactional and operational aspects of investing.

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for acquisition and investment opportunities, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses and return metrics.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis and due diligence to assess potential investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and supporting materials for senior leadership and investment committee review.
  • Support debt and equity financing initiatives, lender communications and transaction execution.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against budget and business plan objectives, identifying opportunities to enhance returns.
  • Develop budgets, business plans, forecasting models and hold/sell analyses for portfolio assets.
  • Assist with investor reporting, portfolio analytics and continuous improvement of internal investment processes and reporting tools.

The Successful Applicant

For the Associate of Investments we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience within real estate investments, acquisitions, underwriting or asset management.
  • Previous exposure to multifamily or residential real estate investments is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills with the ability to build and manipulate complex financial models.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance, capital structures, debt financing and investment performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, commercially minded and collaborative in approach.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for property and market visits.
