Job Description

The Associate Project Director - Greenfield will oversee the successful execution of a significant capital investment project while collaborating with local and international teams.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale greenfield manufacturing facility, from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies, and key project milestones.
  • Direct external design-build partners, general contractors, engineering consultants, and specialist vendors to ensure project success.
  • Drive a safety-first culture, maintaining the highest standards of construction safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate permitting, approvals, and stakeholder engagement with local and state authorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and leadership to align project objectives with business goals.
  • Provide regular executive-level reporting on project performance, financial tracking, risks, and overall progress.

The Successful Applicant

For the Associate Project Director - Greenfield we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience managing complex industrial capital projects.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale construction projects valued at $100M+.
  • Experience leading greenfield manufacturing facility developments; exposure to projects exceeding $300M is highly desirable.
  • Background within food manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, advanced manufacturing, or similar process-driven industries.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design-build delivery models, contractor management, and construction execution.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders within a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, capital budgeting, risk management, and construction governance.
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the United States and internationally to support business and project objectives.
