Job Description

  • Support the Superintendent in managing daily field operations and project execution.
  • Lead assigned scopes of work to ensure safety, quality, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor manpower, productivity, and trade sequencing across the jobsite.
  • Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to support field activities.
  • Assist with daily reporting, project documentation, and site logistics planning.
  • Resolve field challenges proactively and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Direct craft workers and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and assigned project resources.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman, Lead Foreman, Field Engineer, or similar field leadership role.
  • Experience working across multiple construction trades on commercial, institutional, federal, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain prior to project start.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and operational excellence.
