Job Description

The Automation & Controls Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and support automation and control systems for pump and process equipment.
  • Create and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming solutions.
  • Develop electrical and controls documentation, including schematics, control narratives, and test procedures.
  • Support system integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to optimize product performance.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing and supporting industrial automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and instrumentation.
  • Experience within pumps, rotating equipment, water treatment, manufacturing, process industries, or related sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project execution skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
