Job Description

  • Lead automation, tooling, and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through implementation.
  • Develop and execute automation strategies that improve production efficiency, scalability, quality, and reliability.
  • Serve as the technical expert for robotics, automation systems, and process integration activities.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and production equipment using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and tooling teams to develop robust manufacturing processes.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective actions to address production challenges.
  • Support the introduction, validation, and integration of new products, equipment, and automated systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, productivity gains, and quality enhancement.
  • Develop and monitor manufacturing KPIs related to automation performance, downtime, and process capability.
  • Lead capital equipment specification, justification, procurement, and implementation efforts.
  • Establish standardized automation design, programming, and integration best practices.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and other team members.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation, manufacturing engineering, robotics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record leading automation projects and implementing manufacturing technology solutions.
  • Strong experience with robotics integration, programming, and optimization.
  • Expertise in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation controls.
  • Experience with vision systems, sensors, motion control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, machine safety standards, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Exposure to emerging manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions is highly desirable.
