Job Description

  • Manage a portfolio of Specially Serviced loans or REO assets under supervision of senior management and in coordination with the asset manager.
  • Assist asset managers in the daily administration of compliance requirements for loans and REO including preparation and/or review of key deliverables pursuant to related servicing agreements and internal quality control reports.
  • Handle new loan setup and liquidation, and coordinate and monitor the processing and closing out of loan or REO sales and dispositions in addition to procedures related to modifications, discounted payoffs, foreclosures, receiverships, and other legal actions.
  • Engage and interact with third party consultants including attorneys, receivers, management/leasing companies, appraisers, environmental engineers, property inspectors, etc.
  • Timely complete and review numerous quality control reports and checklists to evidence company compliance with servicing agreements and rating agency criteria, and to firmly
  • support the firms compliance pursuant to Regulation AB servicing criteria and internal controls.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality control reports and loan and REO data within internal systems
  • Daily support of the operations team senior management and other team members to confirm compliance and, as necessary, assist with assignments based on team capacity.
  • As necessary, assist with management of various projects including compliance with tax filings and management of recurring committee meetings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience (5+) within the commercial loan servicing industry (not exclusively agency based)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field with emphasis on Real Estate
  • Precise and detailed verbal and written communication skills including experience in reviewing aspects of servicing agreements and vendor agreements
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Efficient problem solver mindset as well as initiative to improve and/or eliminate existing processes
