Job Description

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend systems to support financial services applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with front-end systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Optimize server-side performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance system capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong backend engineering experience with Java 21+, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and object-oriented design.
  • Proven ability to build scalable, resilient enterprise applications, leveraging event-driven architectures and Kafka.
  • Experience developing and integrating backend services using API integrations, caching strategies, data access layers, and well-defined service boundaries.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including JUnit, Maven, GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, monitoring, and observability.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized environments, deployment automation, and production support within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across product, architecture, UI, DevOps, and distributed engineering teams.
