The Traveling Superintendent will lead field operations on ground-up retail, grocery, and commercial construction projects throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Southern Virginia. This individual will oversee all onsite activities from mobilization through project completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description

  • Manage all onsite construction activities from start to finish
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain project schedules and milestone completion
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and site coordination efforts
  • Monitor manpower, productivity, and site logistics
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation
  • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and clients
  • Resolve field challenges proactively and efficiently

The Successful Applicant

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of Lead Superintendent experience
  • Ground-up commercial construction background
  • Experience independently running projects from start to finish
  • Strong scheduling, quality control, and safety management skills
