We're seeking a Business/Data Analyst to collaborate with application development, data engineering, QA, and product teams. This opportunity requires strong SQL skills, experience with data analysis and validation, knowledge of data lineage, and involvement in requirements gathering and user story development. This position requires 2 days onsite in downtown Charlotte, NC.

Job Description

  • Develop/ execute SQL queries, leverage Excel for data analysis and reporting, and support continuous process improvements through data-driven insights
  • Perform data validation and quality checks by applying business rules and understanding data lineage to maintain data integrity.
  • Analyze, validate, and interpret data to support business initiatives and ensure data accuracy across multiple projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements, document data needs, and support data modeling activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Kanban methodologies, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and project tracking through JIRA.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and relational database concepts, including data modeling and data quality best practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, data validation, or related technical business analysis projects.
  • Experience working in Agile/Kanban environments with JIRA, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
