Job Description

The successful CAD Designer will:

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and plans
  • Interpret sketches, specifications, and design instructions
  • Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve design or drafting issues
  • Assist with material take-offs and basic calculations when required

The Successful Applicant

The successful CAD Designer will have the following:

  • College Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in architectural / civil / mechanical / electrical/ commercial general contracting drafting
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD required; Revit, SolidWorks, or similar is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Good communication and time management skills
