Job Description

This role will report directly into Engineering Leadership and be responsible for:

  • Inspecting fabricated structural steel components at various stages of production
  • Verifying compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Reviewing welding processes and examining completed welds for defects
  • Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and technical documents
  • Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records
  • Identifying quality issues and communicating findings to production teams
  • Supporting corrective actions to resolve manufacturing defects

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have

  • CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) and/or QCI certification preferred
  • Experience in structural steel fabrication and inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of welding processes and inspection standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and organisational skills
