Job Description

  • Drive manufacturing process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and operational reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and work directly with plant personnel to identify and implement solutions.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, yield, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Support new product launches and commercialization activities, ensuring smooth transfer into full-scale production.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and research teams to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and process control methods to monitor product quality and process capability.
  • Investigate downtime events, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce recurrence.
  • Assist with management of change activities and ensure process modifications are appropriately communicated and documented.
  • Evaluate manufacturing data and operating trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all operational activities.
  • Participate in plant-based engineering projects and other operational initiatives as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, with Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals including heat transfer, fluid flow, pumping systems, piping, and instrumentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and implementing operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation, procedures, and operator training materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Experience reading process flow diagrams, P&IDs, or technical schematics is advantageous.
  • Exposure to continuous chemical processing, regulated manufacturing, GMP environments, or high-hazard operations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working within a production environment and building strong relationships with operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
