About Our Client

A highly respected and established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead its preconstruction and estimating operations in Miami, FL. This executive-level position will oversee a large estimating team, drive strategic growth initiatives, and play a critical role in securing and delivering complex, high-profile construction projects across multiple market sectors.

Job Description

  • Lead and mentor the Estimating and Preconstruction team, managing workload distribution and performance.
  • Oversee all estimating activities for complex commercial construction pursuits from concept through award.
  • Develop bid strategies, cost estimates, value engineering solutions, risk assessments, and subcontractor procurement plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Support contract negotiations and collaborate with executives, project leaders, and operations teams throughout the preconstruction process.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience within the construction industry.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Chief or Senior level of Estimator/ Preconstruction Manager.
  • Demonstrated experience managing estimating departments
  • Extensive experience developing subcontractor scope sheets and bid packaging strategies.
  • Strong expertise in owner negotiations, contract review, and procurement practices.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, and related estimating technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
