Our work spans roads and bridges, utilities, marine, environmental, rail and transit, energy and industrial infrastructure.The estimator is involved from the beginning -reviewing opportunities, understanding the scope, developing the estimate, working through constructability and pricing, and helping determine how we pursue the work.Job Description· Review plans, specifications, addenda and contract documents· Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop complete estimates· Price labor, materials, equipment, trucking and subcontractor work· Solicit, analyze and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing· Evaluate project scope, risks, constructability and means/methods· Develop competitive bids, bid schedules and proposal documents· Attend pre-bid meetings and project/site visits· Coordinate with Operations and Project Management on pricing and constructability· Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options· Meet bid deadlines and maintain accurate estimating documentationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
