About Our Client

A well-established heavy civil construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join its field operations team.

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all daily field operations for assigned construction projects.
  • Manage field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment resources.
  • Coordinate project schedules, sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget expectations.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with project management teams.
  • Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, project documentation, and as-built records.
  • Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and field modifications.
  • Enforce safety standards and support a strong safety culture across all job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with owners, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership position within heavy civil construction.
  • Experience with excavation, earthwork, utilities, dams, water resources, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Demonstrated success leading crews, subcontractors, and field operations.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with construction reporting systems, project documentation, and standard office software.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Northeast region as required.
  • Strong commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and operational excellence.
