Job Description

  • Manage daily field operations for civil construction projects from mobilization through project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, equipment operators, labor crews, and vendors on-site.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Enforce company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, clients, and municipalities to resolve field issues.
  • Track labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project progress.
  • Lead jobsite meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, material inventories, and workforce scheduling.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Maintain accurate project records, daily reports, and safety documentation.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role within heavy civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing site development, utility, roadway, grading, excavation, paving, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and project sequencing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing field personnel.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office products is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout South Jersey.
