With decades of industry experience, the company specializes in roadway construction, utilities, earthworks, drainage systems, municipal improvements, and commercial developments, and is recognized for its commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.The organization offers a stable pipeline of projects, a collaborative culture, and opportunities for long-term career growth within a highly respected construction team.Job DescriptionLead and manage all onsite construction activities from project mobilization through completion.Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and labor resources to ensure efficient project execution.Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules in collaboration with Project Managers.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, permits, and contract requirements.Monitor daily production, productivity, and project progress against schedule milestones.Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure workmanship meets company standards.Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.Lead daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-construction planning activities.Identify and resolve field-related issues, conflicts, and delays in a proactive manner.Coordinate inspections with owners, engineers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.Manage project documentation including daily reports, field logs, manpower reports, and material tracking.Review and verify quantities completed for progress billing and change orders.Monitor equipment utilization and coordinate logistics to maximize operational efficiency.Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal team members.Support successful project closeout activities, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantA successful Civil Superintendent should have:Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on civil construction, heavy highway, utility, site development, or infrastructure projects.Proven track record of successfully delivering projects ranging from $5M-$100M+.Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, paving, concrete, and roadway construction methods.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing large field crews.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar platforms is preferred.OSHA 30 Certification preferred.Experience working on New Jersey DOT, municipal, county, and public infrastructure projects is highly desirable.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary ($120,000-$170,000+ depending on experience).Annual performance and project completion bonuses.Company vehicle or vehicle allowance.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with company matching contributions.Paid vacation, holidays, and personal leave.Life insurance and disability coverage.Career advancement opportunities into Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Operations Management positions.Ongoing professional development and leadership training programs.Opportunity to lead high-profile infrastructure and civil construction projects across New Jersey.Stable backlog of work with a reputable and growing contractor.Collaborative and safety-focused company culture.Interested?
