Their technology teams operate across modern cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on platform reliability, scalability, security and automation.Job DescriptionThe Systems Admin will join a global technology team responsible for supporting enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. This is not a traditional Linux Administrator position. The successful candidate will combine strong Linux expertise with hands-on cloud infrastructure, scripting and automation capabilities.Key responsibilities include:Administer, maintain and support enterprise cloud and on-premises infrastructureInstall software releases, system upgrades, patches and security updatesMonitor system health, performance and configurations to maintain stability and data integrityPerform backups, disaster recovery activities and recovery testingTroubleshoot infrastructure, operating system and application-related issuesSupport Linux-based environments and associated infrastructure servicesDevelop automation, scripting and infrastructure management solutionsCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and runbooksWork with engineering and operations teams to improve platform reliability, scalability and securityParticipate in on-call support and incident response when requiredMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. You should be comfortable working across cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP, with scripting or coding experience using Python, Bash, Shell or similar technologies.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, and multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic environments would be highly advantageous.Candidates should also bring:Strong infrastructure and systems troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of networking, servers, operating systems and platform technologiesAn automation-focused approach to infrastructure managementStrong operational documentation skillsThe ability to work both independently and collaborativelyA cloud-first mindset combined with strong Linux fundamentalsLocation & Hybrid Working: This is a hybrid Manhattan-based position requiring approximately 40% onsite attendance per month, typically 2 days per week. The majority of onsite work will be in the Downtown Manhattan Financial District office, with flexibility required to work occasionally from a Midtown location near Central Park.
