Job Description

  • Develop new and modify existing CMM and gauge inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Validate inspection programs by identifying and resolving navigational and computational issues while conducting measurement system analysis studies.
  • Perform dimensional inspections and verification activities on complex machined components using a variety of metrology equipment.
  • Analyze inspection results, create reports, and support process improvements through SPC and quality data analysis.
  • Build, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain CMM stylus systems, fixtures, and related inspection equipment.
  • Generate and maintain inspection documentation, correlation studies, and measurement system reports.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to support troubleshooting and process optimization initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and maintain compliance with quality system standards and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or related Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience programming CMM equipment utilizing automated inspection software.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Experience with CMM software such as Calypso, PC-DMIS, Modus, ATOS, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and inspection requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related technical software tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments and continuous improvement initiatives is highly preferred.
  • Must have Calypso experience
