Job Description

  • Conduct detailed dimensional inspections using CMM and precision tools
  • Verify part geometry, hole locations, and tolerances against blueprints
  • Develop, edit, and maintain CMM programs for production and inspection
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain traceability records
  • Investigate measurement discrepancies and resolve inspection issues
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality standards
  • Support engineering and production teams on part conformance
  • Maintain adherence to QMS (ISO 9001) and safety protocols
  • Assist in training team members on CMM operation and inspection practices
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work environments

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of hands-on CMM operation experience
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T expertise
  • Experience with dimensional inspection, layout, and metrology tools
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and inspection standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot measurement and inspection discrepancies
  • Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, and manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Strong math skills and understanding of shop calculations
  • Proficiency with inspection software and basic computer systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
