It is known for combining engineering expertise with advanced manufacturing to support missions across aerospace, defense, and exploration sectors.Job DescriptionThis position will report directly into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be responsible forSupporting machining processes and maintaining manufacturing equipment performanceCollaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize product design for manufacturabilityAnalyzing and planning equipment and tooling requirements for machine shop operationsCreating and updating mechanical drawings in line with current design standardsDeveloping and maintaining work instructions and manufacturing documentationImplementing engineering change orders (ECOs) and tracking updates through productionWorking hands-on with technicians and assemblers to identify root causes and process improvementsTraining manufacturing personnel on new and revised processesDesigning and improving work cell layouts within a Lean manufacturing environmentDesigning fixtures using CAD software to support production efficiencyRecommending and evaluating equipment, tooling, and materials for capability improvementsPreparing capital project justifications and supporting investment decisionsLeading equipment implementation and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ)Supporting new product introduction through capacity planning and capability assessmentReviewing and dispositioning non-conforming materialsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
