We are seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to support machining operations and drive efficiency improvements across a complex, high-reliability manufacturing environment. This role is highly hands-on, working closely with engineering, production, and machine shop teams to enhance manufacturability, resolve issues, and implement new processes and equipment.

Job Description



Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary engineering support for machining processes and equipment
  • Analyze and define tooling, fixturing, and equipment needs for machine shop operations
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and mechanical drawings
  • Create and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams
  • Design fixtures using CAD and improve manufacturability of products
  • Support capital equipment selection, justification, and implementation
  • Lead equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Train operators and technicians on updated processes
  • Drive Lean initiatives, including work cell layout and workflow improvements
  • Review and disposition non-conforming materials

The Successful Applicant



Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining or production environment
  • Strong understanding of low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience supporting machining operations and troubleshooting processes
  • Experience with CAD for basic fixture design
  • Familiarity with ECO processes and process documentation
  • Exposure to equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and capital projects preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally on the shop floor
