Job Description

  • Develop CNC machining programs using Mastercam for milling operations.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to create efficient manufacturing strategies.
  • Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and work-holding solutions.
  • Create setup sheets and detailed work instructions for production teams.
  • Improve existing programs and machining processes to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Support prototype builds and low-volume production projects.
  • Program and support a variety of equipment including 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, EDM, and waterjet systems.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes on the shop floor.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to bring new products into production.

The Successful Applicant

A successful CNC Programmer/Engineer should have:

  • 4+ years of CNC programming experience utilizing Mastercam.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC programs and edit NC code when necessary.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to support production as needed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
